Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are up for the southern half of western, South Dakota starting tonight and going through Monday and Monday night. The central and eastern regions of the state remain under Winter Storm Watches.
Snow is expected to move in western South Dakota tonight and spread east into central regions of the state by Monday morning.
On Monday, the snow will continue to spread into eastern, South Dakota and continue into the evening hours. The far southeast may see some mixture or freezing rain.
On Tuesday, the snow will come to an end from west to east.
Forecast models are still disagreeing on the placement of heavy snow. The EURO and CANADIAN models are showing the heaviest snow in the southeast whereas the AMERICAN model is placing higher amounts in the east-central and south-central.
