As dry and warm conditions continue in South Dakota, fire dangers remain high statewide.

Fire departments in western, South Dakota responded to this wildfire near Palmer Gulch in the central Black Hills on Saturday afternoon. According to the Pennington County Sheriff's Office, about 66 acres had burned since Saturday evening and there was no containment at this time. No structures have been threatened at this time.

On the east side, the story is about the same. The Redfield Fire Department was called to this grass fire in Spink County. The department warns people that conditions are very dry and use caution at all times.

Unfortunately, the weather is not going to help as dry conditions look to stay around, at least for the next four days. There is some hope in the longer range of some precipitation moving into the area, but we will have to wait and see.
