Authorities in Northeast, SD Warn About Dry Conditions

Fire departments in northeast, South Dakota battle flames from a control burn that became out of control this Thanksgiving week.

The Brown County Emergency Management shared these pictures on Facebook on Thursday warning the public of the dry conditions. The agency asked to check with forecasts for several days as conditions in the area remain dry with high grassland fire dangers.

Fire departments from Claremont, Columbia, and Groton tackled this fire and were able to save a nearby home and other outbuildings.
