Black Hills Multi Vehicle Crash

Slippery roads from Thursday's snow caused issues across western South Dakota, including the Black Hills. First responders were called up to this multi vehicle crash on US Highway 85 near Deadwood at around noon.

According to the Deadwood Volunteer Fire Department, two passenger vehicles and a road grader were involved in the crash. Minor injuries were reported, and one person was taken to the hospital. The cause of the crash was not reported.
First responders on scene were Deadwood Volunteer Fire Department, Deadwood Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, SD Commission on Gaming, SD Highway Patrol, and Monument Health Ambulance.


On Friday morning, many roads in western South Dakota were reported to be slippery to scattered slippery, including Interstate 90 from Rapid City to Belvidere. The latest road conditions can be found on their website at https://www.sd511.org/
