Earlier, Sisseton had a new record low of 44°, breaking its old record of 45° set back in 1997. In central South Dakota, Pierre tied its previously set record from 1934 of 47°.

In other places, Sioux Falls dropped to 48° at 6:00 am CDT, Rapid City Airport was down to 49° at 3:00 am MDT, Huron at 48° at 6:00 am CDT, and up in Watertown at their airport, a temperature of 49° recorded at 5:00 am CDT.
