Fires Reported near Manderson

The BIA Forestry and Wildland Fire Management stated that fire crews were sent near Manderson on Monday due to a smoke report.
Upon arrival, crews discovered five distinct fires along BIA Highway 33. The agency states that there are no active fires today, but smoke might still be visible. Wildland fire resources are still present at the location as a precaution.
The fire was identified as human-caused, potentially by a vehicle dragging a trailer chain. The incident is still under investigation.
