Rain Moving In

Rain will move into southeast South Dakota and spread northward this afternoon. The chance of rain will continue through the overnight and into Tuesday. On Tuesday, rain mixing or changing to snow is possible for central and northeast South Dakota. The northwest and into the Black Hills may see a mixture of rain and snow showers today.

Rainfall will be the highest in the east, with many locations seeing over an inch of rain. Later on Tuesday and Wednesday, wraparound precipitation may fall as snow and bring light accumulations to parts of the northeast.

The winds will start to pick up, beginning in the west and then over the east tonight. Out in the west, a few locations may see gusts up to 60mph.
