South Dakota experienced an extraordinary stretch of warm weather around Valentine's Day, shattering numerous temperature records across the state.

South Dakota and many of us in the country were pushed into the deep freeze by a significant winter storm that impacted the southern and eastern parts of the United States. Back home, we did not see the wintry precipitation, just the frigid temperatures.

Consecutive systems on Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to bring light snow accumulations to parts of South Dakota.
