Storm Reports: July 17th

More thunderstorms in southwest South Dakota brought large hail and strong winds on Monday into Monday night. Monster hail to the size of baseballs was reported 7 miles southeast of Hot Springs and tennis ball size hail dropped in the town of Oral as well as 9 miles west of Smithwick. On the wind side of things, a 63mph thunderstorm wind gust was recorded at the Rapid City Airport. Below are the official reports from the National Weather Service from Monday's storms.
