A cold front right on the heels of the latest winter storm brought additional wintry weather to the state. This second wave created more issues for motorists traveling this weekend.

On Facebook, the South Dakota Highway Patrol posted this image on Saturday advising US Highway 12 in northeast, South Dakota was slippery and crashes were occurring. On Interstate 29, the story was the same. The patrol advised the highway was reduced to a single lane while traveling to recover a spun out semi.

We have some better news as warmer and dry weather is in the forecast for the start of the work week. A few passing light rain/snow are possible today into tonight, but no significant issues are expected.
