Brookings County Hit with Large Hail

On Wednesday, one isolated severe thunderstorm in Brookings County brought hail to the area again.

The city of Bruce in east-central South Dakota saw hail to the size of quarters (1.00") shortly before 3:00 pm on Wednesday. As the storm continued eastward, hail to the size of a half dollar (1.25") was found about nine miles northeast of White in Brookings County.

The storm continued east into Minnesota, impacting areas north of Ivanhoe with tennis ball (2.50") size hail.
