Consecutive systems on Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to bring light snow accumulations to parts of South Dakota. The first system on Tuesday looks to have lighter winds compare the next system on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, light snow chances look to move in during the morning hours in the west and spread into eastern South Dakota later on. The winds won't be much of an issue for the east, but the west could see gusts up to 35mph.

Following this system, another one arrives on Wednesday, bringing scattered snow showers and strong northwest winds once more. A few locations in the western regions of the state could see gusts over 50mph.

Towards the end of the work week and into the weekend, a surge of cold weather looks to move in with highs not even getting above zero and feels like temperatures into the 20s below zero, possibly a few 30s below zero. More detailed forecasts for the South Dakota location are available on our Local Weather pages.
