Freezing rain overnight has already created issues on South Dakota roadways, including the Pierre, Philip, Onida, and Blunt highways, as well as in surrounding communities. Travel advisories issued by the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) have already been posted on Thursday morning.

No Travel Advised has been placed on highways in and near the Pierre, Philip, Blunt, Onida, Agar, Billsburg, Bridger, Fort Pierre, Hayes, Midland, Nowlin, Powell, and Vivian due to iced-over roads and the extreme difficulty to travel on them.
