Several inches of rain have fallen in different parts of South Dakota, especially in the northeast. This prompted the National Weather Service in Aberdeen to issue a Flood Warning from Spink County, extending into Clark and Codington Counties, and then up towards Grant, Day, and parts of Roberts County.

The Emergency Manager in Grant County shared this photo on their Facebook page of a road being flooded by recent rain.

Heavy rains in Grant County. Many roadways undergoing flash flooding currently. Do not drive through flooded roads. Turn around don't drown. Workers are barricading flooded roadways, attempting to keep up. Drive with extreme caution!
