A weather system continues to pump showers and occasional thunderstorms up and over the low pressure in south-central South Dakota.

A sluggish low-pressure system persists in bringing showers and thunderstorms to South Dakota, with the most intense rainfall occurring in the west.

Thursday afternoon and overnight thunderstorms have resulted in a variety of severe weather conditions throughout eastern South Dakota.

Northeast, South Dakota, is seeing additional flooding after several rounds of showers and storms continue to move through.

The Codington County Sheriff's Office reported that heavy rainfall has led to flooding or washouts on several secondary roads. As a result, officials have closed some of these roads.
