On Tuesday evening, a line of thunderstorms developed in southwest South Dakota and pushed north and eastward, bringing powerful winds.
An intense line of thunderstorms pushed through Meade and Ziebach Counties, producing a storm gust of 93mph in Faith. This caused damage to the town, blowing down power poles and damaging a highway shed.
Additional reports of solid thunderstorm winds were reported during the event, with a 74mph gust about five miles northeast of Martin, a 65mph gust about 12 miles east of Oelrichs, and a 64mph gust in Howes and in Usta.
