Hurricane Force Winds and Ping Pong Size Hail on the Latest Storms

Strong thunderstorms impacted the west on the tail end of the weekend with strong wind gusts and hail reported.

Several reports of winds gusting over 60mph from thunderstorms, with the top speed at 80mph, about six miles west of Cottonwood. Near Midland, winds of up to 75 mph were recorded, and over by Trail City and Bullhead, winds of up to 73 mph occurred.

A few of these thunderstorms also produce hail with ping pong ball size hail, three miles west of Vale, dropped from a storm.

Unfortunately, we are not done with the severe weather as another round of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected by Monday afternoon.
