Travelers in parts of South Dakota once more faced wintry road conditions and strong winds as another clipper system delivered more precipitation on Tuesday. The South Dakota Highway Patrol took this picture on Tuesday morning of US Highway 12 east of Aberdeen, showing the icy highway.

Once again, motorists found themselves in ditches, leading law enforcement and first responders to handle several accidents. This semi-truck veered into the median of Interstate 29 near the South Dakota and North Dakota state line, where the road was also covered in ice.

In the northern regions, similar conditions were observed. Troopers from the North Dakota Highway Patrol were assisting stalled semi-trucks on the interstate system on Tuesday morning.
We’ve covered too many slide in, stalled out, crashed vehicles to currently report.
