Large Hail near Okreek, SD

A severe thunderstorm developed in south-central South Dakota on Thursday afternoon and brought hail the size of ping pong balls (1.50").

A trained weather spotter about two miles east of Okreek in Todd County along US Highway 18, reported that the storm dropped the large hail. The storm then continued its track southeast mainly staying south of Carter and Jordan Junction area.

An additional large hail report came in at around 4:50pm CDT in Todd County. Hail, the size of ping pong balls, was reported about 8 miles southeast of Okreek, SD.
