Monday's Freezing Drizzle

As the storm system started impacting the region on Monday afternoon, travelers saw increased road issues. Light freezing drizzle found its way across eastern South Dakota, making roads very icy.

Law enforcement started getting busy as they dealt with jackknifed semis on Interstate 29 in northeast South Dakota.


The southeast was not out of the picture as motorists found themselves in the ditch from slippery roads.

Precipitation started to pick up by the overnight hours and spread across the area along with vehicle crashes. On Monday, troopers worked on this semi crash on US Highway 12 in Day County.
