Chances for showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day statewide.
Severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening, with better chances in south-central South Dakota and east of the James River. Large hail, damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, and flash flooding are possible.
Today's highs will be from the middle 70s to the middle 80s. Southeast winds will be from 10 to 20mph, with stronger gusts up to 30mph in eastern regions of the state.
The start of the work week will be warm, with highs into the lower 80s to the upper 80s for Monday. There is a chance of storms in the west and a few showers in the southeast.
