Severe Weather Likely Monday Afternoon

There is a likely chance of severe thunderstorms today, reaching south-central South Dakota and extending northeast, for this afternoon. Severe thunderstorms are expected during the afternoon and continue to spread south and east through the afternoon and into the evening hours. Damaging winds appear to be the primary threat, with an isolated tornado or two possible. Large hail is also a possibility, but the chances appear to be better from the southwest and into the central and north-central regions of the state.
