Strong Storms in the Forecast

Changes are in the forecast starting today as a system will bring the risk of severe thunderstorms for much of us later this evening.

The main threat from these thunderstorms will be hail, but an isolated tornado and gusty winds cannot be ruled out. The best chance to see severe thunderstorms will be across parts of southwest and south-central South Dakota, including the Bonestell, Burke, Gregory, Martin, Mission, Pickstown, Rosebud, Saint Francis, and Winner areas.

After the severe weather risk, widespread rain chances continue for the first half of the work week, with significant rainfall totals possible.
