Friday brings summer temperatures, with highs in the 70s in the west and 80s in the east, with an isolated 90s in the east.
The Black Hills, into the southwest, and then over to east-central South Dakota, have slight chances for an isolated shower or thunderstorm this afternoon and into the early evening hours.
Southern winds range from 5 to 15mph, with gusts up to 25mph today. Stronger winds across the far northeast are expected, with up to 40mph gusts.
