The first day of 2026 will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies. The southwest will enjoy pleasant warmth, with temperatures reaching into the 40s and 50s, while the northeast will stay cold, with highs not getting out of the teens.
Dense fog this morning in central and parts of western South Dakota. Winds in the west are expected to gust from 15 to 20mph, but remain light in the east.
