Watching for Stormy Weather Mid-Week

A baroclinic zone is expected to strengthen by Wednesday afternoon as a surge of low-level moisture pushes northward across the central plains, pushing into the region. A boundary system over the area will support the chances for showers and thunderstorms. There is an isolated chance of a few thunderstorms becoming strong to severe, with hail and gusty winds, on Wednesday afternoon and into the evening hours.
