Already, snow has started to accumulate in parts of north-central South Dakota, and powerful wind gusts up to 68mph in the west have been recorded.

A storm system is expected to continue pushing precipitation into South Dakota tonight and into tomorrow. This system has already brought strong winds over 60mph to parts of Montana and, at times, even Snow Squall Warnings.

Wintry weather is expected over the next couple of days, with around an inch of accumulating snow by Tuesday evening, most likely in northeast SD.
