A Foot of Snow Possible for the Hills

Snow is coming down across the Black Hills this morning, where Winter Storm Warnings are up for the northern hills, and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for the northern foothills and over to the Sturgis foot-hills.

Snow is expected to continue today, with storm totals from 8 to 14 inches for the northern Hills, including Lead, Deadwood, and Spearfish Canyon. The northern foot-hills, including the Spearfish area, will see three to six inches of snow, and over to the Sturgis foot-hills could see two to five inches of total snowfall.


Additional snow forecast for Today from the EURO model.


A break is in the forecast for later tonight before another round of precipitation will move into the region by Thursday.
