Widespread winter weather looks to impact us today as Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings are up.

Blowing and falling snow in the north has created some visibility issues, and icy roads in east-central created travel issues.

Motorists had to be rescued after being caught in a blizzard and winter storm.

There may be a break in the action this morning, but much of the state will fill up with snow coverage as the day progresses.

Parts of Interstate 29 and Interstate 90 are set to close this evening in South Dakota.
