Blowing Snow, No Travel Advised, and Dangerous Wind Chills

The South Dakota Department of Transportation for much of the day has placed south-central, South Dakota under no travel advisories as blowing snow, reduced visibilities, and brittly cold winds cause hazards and life-threatening conditions for motorists.

Blizzard Warnings issued by the National Weather Service remain in effect for the southeast region of the state as ground blizzard conditions continue.

Wind chill readings across the state have been ranging from 30 to 55 below zero and are expected to continue through the afternoon and into the overnight hours.
