A winter storm impacting Wyoming on Thanksgiving caused major crashes and forced authorities to shut down the highway.
Interstate 80 in both directions between the towns of Cheyenne and Laramie was closed to travelers because of a multi-vehicle crash. During the early morning hours on Friday, the Wyoming Highway Patrol advised the Interstate remains closed as efforts continued to clear the crashes on both ends of the highway.
First responders working the crash reported no known serious injuries in the crash during the time of the report.
