The Pennington County Sheriff's Office in west-central, South Dakota warned motorists of deteriorating conditions on the roadways.

Emergency crews and law enforcement responded to a number of crashes in Pennington during the morning hours. The agency posted these pictures on their Facebook page of crashes on Interstate 90, Radar Hill Road, and State Highway 44.

The South Dakota Department of Transportation during the late morning had much of western, South Dakota roads under mainly slippery conditions. The latest road conditions can be viewed at the state's website at sd511.org.
