Rain and Winds Return

Another large and strong low-pressure system will bring widespread rain chances, snow in the Black Hills, and powerful winds to South Dakota.

Chances for showers and a few thunderstorms will continue through today and even into Tuesday as this system continues to spin over us. Decent rainfall amounts are expected as all three major weather models are giving widespread amounts over an inch in the next 48 hours.

A few inches of snow is expected over the Black Hills today and we cannot rule out a few flakes of snow mixing with rain in the northwest.

In addition to the precipitation, strong winds will be part of the system throughout today, with gusts up to 45mph to 50mph.
