After experiencing severe weather on Monday, the same areas may see an increased chance of severe thunderstorms this evening.

There is a likelihood of severe storms across central and eastern regions of the state starting late this afternoon and continuing into this evening.

According to the HRRR forecast model, thunderstorms are expected to develop across central and south-central South Dakota soon, with one storm already forming northwest of Pierre at 3:00 p.m. CDT on Monday afternoon.
