Strong to severe thunderstorms developed over southwest South Dakota on Wednesday afternoon and then grew in coverage during the overnight hours. A few thunderstorms brought strong winds over 60mph and caused damage in a few locations. A spotter reported that his son in Geddes saw trees blown down in south-central, SD.

There was one tornado warning in Minnesota near the Pipestone area around 3:15 am early Thursday morning, but no reports of damage.
