The Clean-Up Starts

The blizzard conditions ended in western South Dakota on Friday and in the east by Saturday morning. Highway personnel are out and about working, tackling several feet high drifts and removing stalled vehicles.

Interstate 90 from Kadoka to Chamberlain and from Mitchell to Sioux Falls remained closed as of Saturday morning. Other roads like State Highway 34 east Fort Thompson, State Highway 48 south of Miller, State Highway 53 south of Interstate 90, and State Highway 1806 north of Kennebec and past Fort Pierre remains blocked this morning.
