Widespread winter weather looks to impact us today as Winter Weather Advisories are up for all of South Dakota besides the far northeast South Dakota, where Winter Storm Warnings are in place for higher amounts of snow.

This morning snow will continue to develop and be widespread across the state. By this afternoon, much of the state will see snow falling.
As we move into the evening hours, the western regions will see the snow come to an end while central and eastern South Dakota continue to see chances for snow.
During the overnight, snow will push eastward, ending across central South Dakota and then southeast South Dakota, followed by northeast South Dakota.
Generally, one to three inches of snow are expected across far western South Dakota, with three to six inches elsewhere. Some isolated higher amounts are possible in the northeast.
