On Monday evening, a couple of thunderstorms developed along a front moving through South Dakota. Some of these storms intensified, producing gusty winds reaching up to 74 mph.

A thunderstorm in Deuel County intensified after a wind gust of 68 mph was reported by the public in Tunerville. Additionally, in the same county, a storm produced a wind gust of 74 mph at the Brandt Exit of Interstate 29.
A storm in Kingsbury and Brookings County was issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, but no storm reports came out of that storm.

It appears that we will not be done with severe weather chances this week, as additional strong thunderstorms are in the forecast for the work week. More on the latest severe weather chances for South Dakota, check out our Severe Weather page.
