Besides a tornado, thunderstorms brought flooding rains to parts of the county, Boyden, Rock Valley, and Sioux Center. The sheriff's office advised no travel on Saturday because of flooding, as several vehicles were stuck in flooded streets.

Up in Rock Valley, flooding was occurring in the town where Main Street was closed for a period of time. Continuing eastward on US Highway 18, the city of Boyden had flooded streets, and even parts of US Highway 18 was closed because of standing water.

The low-pressure system that brought this flooding rains and severe weather has moved eastward impacting southeast Iowa and over to Missouri and Illinois Sunday evening.
