Travelers to the polls, school, work, or just passing through had to deal with foggy conditions in parts of the East, rainy weather in the plains of the far West, and light snow in the Black Hills.
The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) reported Tuesday morning that roads around the Miller area had scattered slippery surfaces, with visibility less than one-quarter of a mile. Motorists were asked to reduce their speeds.
Out in the west, light rain showers were making their way through the region. A few snowflakes have been thrown over the Black Hills, and a few road reports near Deadwood, Lead, Powder House Pass, and Spearfish Canyon reported scattered slippery spots.
