Hurricane Force Winds Create Issues on I90

The severe thunderstorm that produced very large hail in Pierre brought strong winds to south-central South Dakota on Tuesday evening.

A thunderstorm wind gust of 100mph was measured 2 miles west of Oacoma at around 8:15pm CDT, Tuesday evening. This created issues for motorists traveling on Interstate 90 during the event, with reports of semis being tipped over.
