In South Dakota, there are two different seasons, with wintry scenes across the Black Hills and nice warm temperatures in the southeast region of the state.
So far, the only snowfall report by Tuesday evening was in Lead, with two inches reported. Check out our Storm Reports page for the latest reports.
Temperatures were in big swings, with readings across the west into the 30s and 40s and a few locations in the Black Hills into the 20s. The far southeast had temperatures in the 70s to nearly 80 degrees during the same time.
Winter weather alerts remain in effect for the Black Hills for tonight and into the morning hours on Wednesday. Additional accumulations are expected with the highest amounts across the northern hills.
