A portion of a spring-like storm system, anticipated to deliver winter weather to areas of South Dakota and responsible for severe weather in the nation's center, also brought thunderstorms to parts of the state.

A complex storm system is set to move across parts of the Midwest starting tonight and lasting through Friday night.

A narrow band of snow developed late Friday night and persisted through Saturday, bringing moderate snowfall totals to parts of north-central and northeast South Dakota.
