A narrow band of snow developed late Friday night and persisted through Saturday, bringing moderate snowfall totals to parts of north-central and northeast South Dakota.

Winter returns for some across the north and east as a band of snow developed during Friday night and continued into Saturday morning.

Northeastern South Dakota is currently facing severe winter weather that has disrupted travel. Law enforcement agencies are responding to numerous vehicles in ditches and accidents caused by slick roads and poor visibility.
