In the southwest region of South Dakota, thunderstorms developed in Nebraska and traveled into the area, bringing strong, damaging winds.

A typical spring storm over the northern plains brought a mix of snow and slippery road conditions in the Black Hills, as well as a tornado warning in Omaha, Nebraska.

The same storm system that brought snow to western South Dakota dropped tornadoes in Nebraska.
