South Dakota and many of us in the country were pushed into the deep freeze by a significant winter storm that impacted the southern and eastern parts of the United States. Back home, we did not see the wintry precipitation, just the frigid temperatures.

A significant portion of South Dakota is experiencing cold weather alerts for tonight and into Friday.

Sunday looks to kick us back into winter after several days of above normal and at times record-breaking warmth.
