Strong winds with gusts over 60mph and falling snow, creating near-whiteout conditions, were reported in many locations across north-central and northeast South Dakota on Tuesday.

The weather service has upgraded a couple of counties in eastern South Dakota to a Blizzard Warning.

Wintry weather and strong winds from a storm system to the south may impact South Dakota.
